Tove Jansson is best known as creator of the Moomins which has been translated into more than 50 languages. This panel discussion recorded at The Lakes International Comic Art Festival explores the phenomenon of the Moomins as well as revealing much more about this extraordinary woman and the huge legacy she has left across the world.
The panel is featured by Sophia Jansson (Tove Jansson’s niece and Artistic Director of Oy Moomins Characters Ltd), Tuula Karjalainen (author of ‘Tove Jansson: Work and Love’), Jonathan Edwards (joint-creator with Felt Mistress of ‘Archipelagogo’ a installation commissioned for LICAF 2017). It is hosted by comics expert Paul Gravett.
