  9. Not Another Love Song

    9.Not Another Love Song

Matt Edmondson is on a mission to create an album. The only problem is, he's never written a song before. He can't sing, he can't play any instruments, and he can barely clap in time to the beat... but he does love a challenge. When the world went a bit weird in 2020, and he found himself with an unexpected amount of free time, he decided to try and learn songwriting and music production from scratch (thank you youtube tutorials) - he just needed some musicians to collaborate with. So, he slid into the DM's of ten of his favourite artists and asked if they wanted to write a song with him. Amazingly, they all said yes. In this brand new series you'll hear Matt and his guest have a funny chat, figure out what to write a song about and collaborate on the lyrics and melody before Matt takes their rough work off to 'The Lab' (aka the spare bedroom) to produce it up into a fully fledged pop song- letting you in on the process he went through to make the track. He'll then play the full song back for his guest, and for you, at the end of the podcast. With subjects ranging from Hay Fever to Dishwashers, Potatoes to Timothee Chalamet, and Dr Pimple Popper to Crossfit, this could be the most influential album of our generation. Featuring brand new songs from James Arthur, Griff, Tom Grennan, Holly Humberstone, Tom Walker, Maisie Peters, Bradley Simpson From The Vamps, Becky Hill, Raye and Sigrid. You can watch lyric videos for select songs here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_W17kvOeOywgPG_F_o3APA See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

DJ Feeling started his career in 2005 at Jovem Pan PM – the biggest radio station in Brazil - and became popular after his stint on MTV. With a cheerful mix of the Tribal House, Circuit House and Progressive House; with a great stage presence and contagious performance, his concerts are iconic. DJ of the biggest gay parade in the world (São Paulo) and considered one of the most popular DJs with the largest fan base of the Brazilian LGBT scene, DJ Feeling has performed in all states of Brazil, in addition to cities in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Australia. During the COVID-19 pandemic in which events were forbidden, DJ Feeling presented the best virtual LGBT show in the world.

Oliver Heyder, a young and energetic 28-year-old DJ/newbie producer from Slovakia - Bratislava, who has been devoted to music since his 17 years more than just a regular fan. His first steps in the production and DJ-ing has been very hard, but he didn't give up and constantly developing their talents and trying to prove to people that it has reached that far. His great advantage is the precise selection of tracks as well as the technically controlled mixing into which it gives the whole heart to achieve a great atmosphere. Oliver’s beginnings were accepted by the audience and fellow DJs, which made a solid ground for further growth and persuasion of his dreams. His biggest achievements are definitely playing at one of the best Slovak festivals EDMANIA, where Oliver won the DJ Contest as the best DJ set. Thanks to such opportunities, he had a chance to play with names like  JP Candela, Tujamo, Blasterjaxx, Gregori Klosman and many other world's or Slovak DJ's. Also, we don't forget about a multi-year playing at the IBIZA PARTY festival, which was attended by several thousand people, or playing in  the best prague's club Retro Music Hall and Duplex, what has a great reputation for his career.  As for the musical style, in Oliver's sets predominates electronic dance music "EDM" (Groove, Tech House, Deep House, Future House, Bassh House, etc.), but he also likes to experiment with styles like, for example, Hip Hop, RnB and Trap.  Oliver is currently a resident DJ of one of the best clubs in Bratislava - GREAT Club and at the end of 2017, opened a record label "404 Records" with two friends, with sub-brands supporting and promoting electronic music.
