“Emotion knows no time.”
Episode #4 of May’s Mental Health Month
Men are emotional creatures too! They can cry, they can feel pain, they can be weak, and they can become vulnerable. BUT society is telling them not to do any of this. Society is telling them to hide their emotions to stay masculine. They are being deprived of the chance to properly process their emotions.
Today’s guest is Traver Boehm, the man behind the UNcivilized Men’s Movement and the author behind Today I Rise and Man UNcivilized. Traver shares his reasons for creating the UNcivilized Men’s Movement, why men are used to suppressing their emotions and the damage it causes, and how you can encourage the men in your life to get help when they need it.
