Film director, actress and all-round goddess Rachel Ward isn’t exactly someone you’d expect to be part of a farming revolution.
But when the Black Summer Bushfires made their way (quite literally) to the doorstep of her family farm, Rachel was faced with the realisation that she could no longer sit idly by in the face of our climate crisis.
Since then, Rachel has run the family farm utilising regenerative farming practices, a process that pulls carbon from the atmosphere and sequesters it in the ground. Neat!
Here’s how she looks after her farms (both the regenerative and mental ones) and reckons with the challenge of global warming.
Thank you to Uncle Jack Charles for the acknowledgement of country.
