268: They Grieve

Dreams of Consciousness Podcast Episode 268 features an interview with Gary Thibert of They Grieve.

They Grieve make a hell of a lot of racket for two people. The Canadian duo play slow, droning post-metal, adding ambience through synth parts and loops (which the two also create and play live).

I spoke with guitarist/vocalist Gary Thibert about how his friendship with drummer Deniz Güvenç influences the way They Grieve write songs, and why hearing their songs live is the best way to experience them. We also discussed why they chose to self-record their first EP but not its follow-up, To Which I Bore Witness, and what people can expect if they sign up for They Grieve's Patreon page.

My thanks again to Gary for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
