5. Not for Men's Instagram Stories
Coming back from the holiday break, Jess and Caroline are bringing the energy for our first episode of 2023. We talk about the toxicity of hustle culture, then hear an update from Caroline on her relationship (or non-relationship) with "Steve" (or "non-Steve"). This sends us into a bigger conversation on being direct in dating vs. overthinking in fear of a negative response, and guess what! Turns out safe communication is kinky.
Then Jess shares her working theory that everything is a projection, and talks about breaking out of the expectations others project onto her. The body keeps the score, and other books we'll never read, amiright?
A few other pivots in the episode take us to the age-old question: "why are men's Instagram stories so boring?" and a new segment idea called "Squisitely." Likelihood of returning to that one still undetermined.
