This week, we're crossing a Patreon Poll winner off the backlog with a PSOne classic, and a trailblazer in the survival horror genre; Silent Hill.
I've only ever played Silent Hill 3, so I was pretty stoked to see where the franchise started. And while the graphics might not be anything to write home about in 2023, the game itself holds up pretty well! The stuff I would have liked in 1999, I liked today. And the stuff I would have hated back then still pissed me off anyway haha.
My buddy Patrick makes his return to the show this week, and we looked at the lives of Harry, a crazy cat lady, a trapped nurse and a useless cop, all topped with a massive pile of fog. It's Silent Hill, baby!
And before we go to work, I deliver another edition of the Infamous Intro!
This week, I go over the modern games I'm planning to get to between now and the end of the year. What advice would I offer a high school grad in 2023? And I like to do evil playthroughs, but what are the best games to turn bad in??
Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one is all Silent Hill: Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, and Silent Hill 4.
