Continuing in our Hawaii Utility Scale Series we sit down with Wren to learn more about Long Road Energy from the early First Wind days (developers of our Wind farms in Maalaea Maui) to the many dozens of successful projects and 2.6 gigawatts total of wind and solar under management spread throughout the USA.
Wren is a local fella with Maui county roots, having been born in Molokai and attending the Kamehameha school system in his youth. He is heavily engaged in coordinating with the community and learning about and responding to needs on a project by project basis.
At Long Road Energy Wren represents the largest IPP (Independent Power Provider) in Hawaii and the recently awarded Oahu project, at 120 MW AC, is the largest single project awarded to date.
