I think a lot of us feel guilty for needing to take care of ourselves but there is no reason for that. Sometimes there are going to be periods of our lives where we are going to need to be a little more selfish with our time and energy and there is nothing wrong with that. You are not a bad person for needing time to prioritize yourself. Hi there! I've been doing a lot of unlearning lately. Unlearning all of these fake rules that we are taught through our childhood. All of the "you need to do it this way" or "act like this and you will be successful" kind of statements. There are a lot of ideals that are shoved down our throats the majority of our lives and I feel its so important to take a step back from everyone and everything and get real with yourself, figure out who you truly are and what it is that you really want out of this life. Hi guys, I am sorry for the delay in posting. I recored this episode two weeks ago. The last two weeks have been a hell of a ride, I wasn't feeling great at all physically and mentally so I took the time off that I needed and I am happy to say that as I am posting this, I am feeling so much better. In this episode I talk about the benefits of taking time to TRULY rest. And when I say rest, I mean resting without feeling guilty or bad for it. Knowing these things would've saved me a whole lot of stress and heartbreak. I made a list of 10 things I wish I could've told my teenage self and figured I would share it in hopes that it may help or resonate with you.
