Badger and Tara Hammett talk dropping weight and feeling fab!
After having a baby it's important to get a little 'Me time'. Tara has the training tips you need if you're looking to get fit, the one exercise that's most important is the pelvic floor exercise. Also Carl is asking what kind of exercise he can do as he's suffered a lot of pain with his knees.
Social media dictates that anyone who's into fitness is winning in a big way. Unfortunately the art of generating clicks and likes on social means that you may find yourself comparing you to just about everyone else. 'The only person you can compare yourself to is you' says Tara. Plus are confusing 'Core' with belly fat? Details in the Podcast. Don't forget to like and share the love (of our podcast)
Tara has a basic plan to help us. We've been spending more time in front of the telly, in front of the fridge and less time walking about let's face it. We have a plan of how you can get started (and it's not by watching Tiger King). Have a listen to Tara's plan here
Tara has some tips on how to avoid the pitfalls of the kitchen during lockdown. The difference between a snack and a treat. Plus the walk up a mountain day. Tara has devised the climb up Mount Snowdon from home. details are in the podcast of how you can do it. Raise money for a charity and even get the legs bums and tums a little stronger.
Getting involved in a group exercise while complying with Social Distancing can be so beneficial right now. Ryan Jones raised over £30,000 for the NHS while cycling and running. Geraint Thomas raised over £300,000 while cycling for 12 hours a day for 3 days. Tara has climbed Pen Y Fan this morning (up and down her stairs) with her Life Transformers. There's a good reason for the Government telling us to take that hour a day of exercise and you should do it ... with a little help from your friends ... and here's why.
The Government guidelines say we can take one period of exercise per day outside. Tara explains what is permissible. Good practice and if you can't go out some rather useful tips if Joe Wicks is all a bit much for you. Of course, we would always urge you to follow the latest government advice at www.gov.uk Our Podcasts have changed to a series of HOTPOD-Casts. Bite-size bits of info that's quick and easy to download that won't stretch your server space. Please share the story, and Stay Safe.
The temptation may well be to sit and lounge with a glass of wine in one hand and a bar of choc in the other.
