Remember that scene in “Say Anything” when John Cusak stands outside the window of the woman who has just dumped him, holding a boombox playing “In Your Eyes”? At the time, we all thought of it as a grand romantic gesture, right? But when something like that plays out in real life it can be entirely different. In this episode, Cynthia and Josie share their strange and terrifying experiences with stalkers. They also chat with Julie S. Lalonde, women’s rights advocate and author of Resilience is Futile: The Life and Death and Life of Julie S. Lalonde about her terrifying experience with an ex, why it was such an unmentionable and her thoughts on what needs to change in order to protect women from stalking. Let’s face it: there’s something strange about the one-sided relationship we have with celebrities…and it can become even stranger when we actually meet them in person. In this episode, Cynthia and Josie share some of their sexiest celebrity stories and chat with long time journalist Teri Hart about why theses tales are so “Unmentionable”.

Imagine you meet someone: they are kind, supportive and like cats and Star Trek as much as you. Eventually you fall in love and marry. But then imagine you meet someone else who is equally enchanting - you fall in love and then you marry them too. That’s just what real estate agent Samantha Fraser did. In this episode, Sam tells us why she chooses to be in an open relationship, how she manages jealousy, how her marriage with two men works and gives tips for those thinking of carving out a different kind of relationship. Josie hasn’t had sex in awhile. The reason isn’t because she’s got a headache, a back ache or a heart ache. It’s because her husband broke his penis. Yup, you just read that. We chat with the man himself about how this unmentionable happened and also get the lowdown from Dr. Shelia Wijayasinghe about how common this is and what you need to do if it ever happens to you (or a penis owner you love). The pandemic messed with everyone differently. Some of us clung to chip bags and wine bottles...others clung to calorie counting...we did all of the above. Yeah, we went on a quest to "get clean" but the end result was kind of dirt. We share our stories and also speak with style expert and curve advocate Meredith Shaw about how we can all learn to love ourselves better.
One of us cheated and thought it would help the relationship. Boy was she wrong. We unpack both of our wandering ways and what happened next. We also interview Dr. Dylan Selterman, personality psychologist and Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. Through his research on infidelity he has uncovered the many reasons why people cheat and how it’s not always such a bad thing. For more info on Dr. Selterman visit: https://www.dylanselterman.com/ If you have a cheating story, or an “Unmentionable” that you would like us to explore, send us an email or a voice memo and tell us everything! In our premiere episode, we get to the BOTTOM of one of society’s messiest taboos. It's often the BUTT of jokes, but this BUMPY problem is a real PAIN IN THE ASS for many people. It's actually what brought the two of us together & led to the creation of this series. We’ve been …ahem…sitting on this for a long time. Maybe you have too. Yes, we're talking hemorrhoids.
