Do you want to explore Bjørvika, but are unsure where to start? Vibeke Hermanrud from Bjørvika Utvikling guide you through five of the 15 bridges of Bjørvika. Perhaps crossing these bridges will give you a new perspective to the area?
Bjørvika is one of Norway’s largest ever urban development projects. During the last century Bjørvika was a segregated port, shipyard and a storage area. Since 2003 Bjørvika has been opening up, and now people have again gained access to the waterfront and the Oslofjord.
We’ll start at the gateway to Bjørvika: The Acrobat bridge crossing over the railroad tracks from Grønland to Barcode. We’ll continue to the marble bridge by the Opera, Oda's bridge crossing the Akerselva river over to the Munch Museum, before we walk over the floating bridge to Sørenga, and finally Sørenga bridge - a bridge still under deconstruction and about to turn into Bjørvika Highline.
Welcome to a guided tour through Bjørvika!
