This time she is facing one charge – the attempted murder of a very premature baby girl, known as Baby K. Today, as the trial got underway, the jury were told she was caught “virtually red handed” by a consultant as she tried to dislodge the breathing tube of Baby K in an attempt to kill her. She then allegedly dislodged the tube twice more to cover her tracks.  The jury were told Lucy Letby is a convicted baby killer and her previous convictions were relevant to the charge she now faces.
