So we should already know and understand that folks that lost their loved ones, homes, cars, precious keepsakes and jobs are under a tremendous amount of stress... that lady that kept jumping back into the water after she was rescued? Stressed thee fuq out and a little out her mind... and understandably so.... B.u.t. what about the people that did not experience the hurricane and the flooding? What about the ones that watched and internalized the 'fall-out' via tv? Or the people with loved ones that are essentially trapped in their neighborhoods by deteriorated infrastructures? Y'all, please understand that this experience is akin to 9-11, Hurricane Katrina and all the other major disasters.. actually, this is the worst domestic storm ever...

So, please know that different people handle stress differently. Some people cry, some people get angry, some people over-shop, some turn to drugs and some show no physical reaction.. Some people are still in shock...

Correction: I said I felt "Survivors Remorse" because I didnt experience this event the same as those that lost their personal possessions. The correct term is "Survivor's Guilt." The feeling of guilt stemming from a shared tradegy where one survives and one dies. The survivor feels guilty for remaining alive while the other person sharing the tradegy died.
