June 1894, Summer in Stow. Asa Filmore's House was burned, High School Graduation Exercises at Town Hall included Kate McGuire and May Silloway and of course June was when the first strawberries of the season were picked. This is the Diary written by a woman that lived in Stow, Massachusetts during the years 1883 - 1920's. As Nancy writes everyday her writing is like a simple brush stroke on canvas that begins to paint a picture of Stow during the turn of the last century. She mentions things from President McKinley being shot, to WW1, Fort Devins, Massachusetts General Hospital, Taffy Pulls, Baseball, Boons Pond, Library Dedication, Masquerade/Neck Tie Party and Tom Thumb.
