A Thanksgiving Surprise! Donna Martin and Griffin Stone reunite after decades! Tori and Jennie haven't seen Casper since the 90s and there's a lot of catching up to do. From his behind-the-scenes friendships to the slap heard around Beverly Hills, this was a real Season 5 treat! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In between the storylines of our favorite college kids, Beverly Hills 90210 wasn't afraid to pivot and spotlight tough topics and painful pasts. Decades later, this episode resonates more now than it did when it premiered in 1994. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If your best friend was in a coma in a hospital bed, would you be playing fraternity flag football??? This episode is so bizarre we don't actually know if it was good or bad! One of us loved it, one of us didn't. Was the fashion a triumph or a tragedy? We were almost left speechless by this episode but instead we can't wait to talk to you about it. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Talk about a cliffhanger! We all agree this is an excellent episode. We learn the backstory of the casting of Mackenzie Phillips and its significance. Not only do we break down the appearance of Ray's mom but we also dig in details of the lamb chops served at dinner. While commenting on Clare and David's escapades, BOTH Tori and Jennie have us in shock with their revelations! SHOCK! As to be expected, this episode brought out a lot of strong emotions for both Tori and Jennie about how much they miss their friend Luke Perry.. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Happy Halloween!! It's 9021Booooo! Costumes in this episode are amazing. Jason Priestley directing is always a "Treat"! (shout out to the underwater apple bobbing shot!) We aren't really sure there are UFO's in Barstow. Donna seems to be "juggling" two bad boys. Valerie has disappointed us. Dylan is a mess. Are Dylan and Brandon really best friends??? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are seeing major red flags and deal breakers from Ray Pruit already! Why didn't they make him a good guy? Griffin vs Ray ...what do we think? The real Peach Pit After Dark begins to take shape. The shocker of the episode though is that Jim and Cindy want to have another baby?!! Wow.Plus, Valerie and Dylan are just...a mess. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
What did we love? The mascot prank! We love it all...Steve, Griffin, the ear pieces, the diarrhea brownies, Kelly and Valerie bonding, the unveiling! Then, the love triangle begins as Donna MAKES OUT!!! Did you catch that at the end of the episode? But, before that, the pumpkin patch with Ray. It was sweet. (for now...) Andrea and Jesse seemed to have made up but then...FIGHTING! Eek! Andrea flirts with the med student at the laundromat. Should Jesse be flirting with customers at the bar??? Clare and Brandon are interesting but that storyline was maybe a bit too heavy. Valerie and Dylan...oh boy! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Peach Pit After Dark begins...Ray Pruit arrives... and Valerie is a "pothead!" Tori takes us on the journey that was Ray Pruit/Jamie Walters, and we are shocked. And, we start the debate of Griffin vs Ray. The Peach Pit becomes The Peach Pit After Dark! Tori and Jennie have thoughts! Tori and Jennie also analyze some of the...let's call them.... sexual innuendos within this episode. The 1994 Northridge Quake is mentioned regularly. Jesse gets his flirt on and we don't like it. And, why does Valerie put up with the way Dylan treats her!? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Can you smell the 90's nostalgia? Tori and Jennie walk us through 90's con with the cast of Beverly Hills 90210. From the heartwarming moment when Shannen Doherty received a standing ovation, to the warm hugs from forever fans...this was a con to remember! Plus, the 90's merch madness you'll want to get your hands on, the new BFF collection, and the NSFW "Donna Martin Graduates" souvenir you'll have to see to believe! This episode brings back memories for Tori as she surprises us with revelations about her bestie, her ex-y, and her new crushy. She reveals for the first time a romantic tidbit about newcomer Casper Van Dien aka Griffin Stone! We breakdown the interesting choice to have Dylan and Valerie peeling eggs during their serious conversation. By the way, are we team #DylanValerie or not so much? We are analyzing Brandon and Kelly and finding similarities between Dylan and Kelly! Should Clare even be considering dating David...or is that just a violation of roommate/girl code?? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We're Back!! R.I.P. Josh Richland. Jennie was shocked to see what happened to Josh. (Although, there were a few too many bad driver, crappy car references for our taste) Dylan and Valerie playing pool and hooking up! Tori loved it while Jennie felt Dylan and Valerie's very adult sweaty sex scene was not very "90210-eey" We all agree, the banter between Dylan and Valerie is a bit cringe. The debate is do we love Valerie or do we love to hate her!? Clare's snoring and her bed buddy had us giggling. Steve had very little to do in this episode. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Brandon and Kelly say I LOVE YOU like it's NOT a big deal! D'Shawn and Donna are the couple that should have happened. And, boy, that Donna can really DIP IT LOW! Mrs. Martin is terrible. Dylan is drinking again and looks like he isn't showering. He's lost $8 MILLION! Nat really lets him have it but accidentally lets the cat out of the bag. Dylan put his boots up on that fancy debutante table. Donna leaves school but then she's back, all in this episode! Valerie is in her underwear in that Jack and Jill bathroom. Donna and Dylan have a heart to heart that is the best scene in the episode. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
OMG it's Season 5!!!!!! From the first moments, including the opening credits, everything is different. Jennie wants to call out everything NEW that we're noticing in this season premiere. Even if Brandon's goatee isn't everyone's favorite, we are loving Kelly and Brandon together. What we don't understand was the fight between Donna and Kelly...Come on! Valerie's entrance left something to be desired. Why did we spend so much time at the airport if we weren't going to meet Valerie there?? (Did you hear Brandon's slight "dig" on Brenda never coming back? Hmmmm) We're all freaked out by crabs. Note: Watch this episode again and please listen to Andrea's baby BURP! Ummm that is not a baby burp! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
He gets recognized as Roy Randolph to this day. Jason Carter aka Roy Randolph recalls how (and why) he got the part. He shares with Tori and Jennie that he was nervous to do the podcast and reveals his experience acting opposite Shannen Doherty. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Oh Donna! We're so sorry that happened. Tori remembers these scenes and shooting them vividly and explains why they were so hard to film. We analyze Lucinda and Clare and their obsession with Brandon. Brandon and Kelly are a REAL thing... do we love it??!! It's heartbreaking to realize that Brenda is leaving Beverly Hills for good especially after being passionately reunited with Dylan. Plus, bras, mud, dunk tanks, and gum on a piece of paper! As Jennie and Tori began discussing the season 4 finale, it took them back in time to 1994. During the taping of this podcast episode, Jennie and Tori found themselves stunned as they realized this was Shannen Doherty’s final appearance ever as Brenda Walsh. Laura Kingman! This is one we've been waiting for. Tracy Middendorf portrayed Laura Kingman and she is here to reveal all. She only appeared in 6 episodes but Tracy's performance of this complicated woman left it's mark on all of us. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

As we approach the season 4 finale, the drama is at an all time high! Did Dylan and Kelly's breakup deserve more screen time? Tori is triggered by Ariel's debut.. Andrea goes into labor prompting Jennie and Tori to discuss if they want more babies IRL. For one of them, the answer is yes! Side note, are Brenda and Brandon a little too "close"??
