Long-time Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters Greg Eno (aka the man who knows a lot of things about a lot of things), and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks! We start the 9th year of the podcast with Eno and Big Al breaking down the latest in Detroit sports!

Topics include:

The legacy of “Trader Jack.” Long-time Detroit Pistons’ GM Jack McCloskey, the architect of the 2-time NBA champion Bad Boys Pistons, passed away this week at the age of 91. Jack was a friend, generous enough with his time to appear on the show several times. He will be missed by all.

Pistons head coach/president Stan Van Gundy is reportedly looking to deal the 12th overall pick for a win-now veteran. But is that the right move for a team stuck in NBA purgatory?

Detroit Tigers’ GM Al Avila spoke to the media, saying exactly what you would expect a GM to say about a team only a few games out of first place in early June - not much.

The NBA and NHL  are both down to their championship series. If you make the postseason in the NHL, even an 8 seed has a title shot. But the NBA is so top heavy, only 2 playoff teams had a legit opportunity to win the MBA Finals...well, to be honest, maybe just one does.

As always, Eno and Big Al also play The Birthday Game and name their Jerk of the Week!
