Maria Bell is the MD of Mesomorphic, a Shetland based company known for it's software development and helping to put Shetland on the map for it's sustainable digital economy. Mesomorphic are leading the ‘Code Club’ in Shetland, teaching school children how to use ‘Scratch’ - a modular programming language aimed at children. A project Maria refers to as ‘Silicon Croft’ encouraging technologically-skilled young Shetlanders to help strengthen this growing sector in the near future, and put the isles on the map as a key player in the digital field.
