As a Body Positive Coach in the fitness industry I wanted to be more educated on the history of the BOPO movement. Here is what I have discovered so far *still at the beginning of my education in this history*
Sources I’ve been pulling from:
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/eating-mindfully/201908/is-body-positivity-all-bodies
https://www.healthline.com/health/beauty-skin-care/body-positivity-origins#1

By learning more about these movements it does not TAKE AWAY from your own struggles that you may have with self-love and body confidence, but it should help you further empathize and lift up ALL women who need to feel confident in their skin ESPECIALLY BIPOC WOMXN.
Thank you for being a part of my own journey as I educate myself in fitness and body positive industries and embark on becoming anti-racist with everything that I do.
