Chronicles didn't meet 2021's standards of fun, so we've skipped ahead to spend some time with our new friend, Isaiah. The prophet starts out with his vision of Judah and Israel, and what might be a flashback to Job. It doesn't seem like there are fig newtons in the medicine cabinet, but there are plenty of melons! Does it feel like Yahweh has made some new years resolutions to you? Things take a turn when we learn that a strappy loin cloth does not a king make and why haughty daughters have been given rope and sackcloth.
