How a hockey captain took on a new skill, sewing and launched a label that won him Designer of the Year, Quinlan Wilhite, Founder of Qmulative

With only 5 years of sewing experience under his belt, Quinlan Wilhite’s passion of street culture, cars, and music turned into a career when he decided to monetize his hobby of sewing. To win the title of Phoenix Fashion Week Designer of the Year, Wilhite had to rewire his perspective to be able to take his brand to new heights.

Qmulative designs vanguard wears for the urban individual.

Action Steps to REWIRE:

Get out into the marketplace. Shake hands or set up an interactive booth. Be seen by going to venues that inspire you and align with your brand.

Collaborate and align with brands that make sense. Cold call or send a blind email asking to build a potential relationshipl. The worst you can get is a no.

Always challenge yourself. Get out there and participate in the fashion scene in whatever capacity you can. Try getting in deeper water than you can swim in while always looking for a YES!
