We also discuss the then breaking news of the American Business Council’s “Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation” which vows commitments beyond stakeholders to include customers, employees, suppliers, communities and shareholders—a move toward stakeholder governance and sustainability for better business.

Our guest Tom Eggert wears many hats. He is the Founder and Emeritus Executive Director of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council; Emeritus Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Sustainable Business; President of the Board of Wisconsin Microfinance; and former Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Green Tier Development Specialist.
