Renowned and influential musician Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, Rival Schools) talks to Matt about the positivity that drew him to hardcore music in the 80's and how he has carried it though his life. He talks about the push and pull of signing to a major label after coming of age in a scene when that was frowned upon, and how he balanced the crests and waves of being an independent minded artist who was sometimes financially beholden to a corporation.
