Sometimes step one is simply talking about the issues that affect you, and not compartmentalizing. That being said, as depression is something that can waltz it's way into your life unexpectedly, in some cases because of genetics, or in Winston's situationally (through a car accident), it's always useful to be prepared by having the tools while not needing them, rather than vice versa.
