Moe begins today's show with his 'Moe-ment of Truth" about the Republican Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, ending the mask mandate in Moe's home state.
He is then joined by his nephew, Manny Mac Vela, as well as Manny Mac's wife, Ashley Vela.
Manny Mac gives a first-hand perspective of what it's like to live as someone who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three and diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome at the age of 11. Manny Mac also shows that it is possible to still achieve one's hopes and dreams, even with these serious disabilities, as he graduated in the top 10% of his high school class, is happily married, and has a successful voice acting career as well.
Moe's second guest is Dave Kearon, Director of Adult Services for 'Autism Speaks.' They discuss what is known about the causes of autism, living with the disability, and what types of work are done by the organization 'Autism Speaks.'
The website for 'Autism Speaks' is AutismSpeaks.org.
Moe's show can be heard live every Thursday from 3-4 pm ET at www.spreaker.com/intheknowwithmoe.
