How to Eat for a Healthy Thyroid

In this week’s episode, I am back speaking with my good friend and dietician Sam Armstrong on how you can eat for a healthy thyroid.  So many of my Superstar ✨ clients come to me with thyroid issues and concerns so I thought I might as well tap into the wealth of knowledge that is Sam Armstrong and find out how we can eat for a healthy thyroid.  Turns out, thyroid is super important especially when it comes to a healthy metabolism and ability to lose weight and shift body fat and the good news is that there is a lot we can do to support the thyroid when it comes to lifestyle and nutrition. Now don’t get me wrong, neither one of us are endocrinologists so if you feel that you may have a thyroid condition, it’s best you go and see a hormone expert  but if you have a sub-clinical thyroid condition, chances are, you will uncover a lot of little gems in this episode with chronic fatigue being a major indication you may have thyroid related issues - who knew?!  All too often we get used to feeling a certain way without questioning it or taking time to investigate those symptoms and fatigue certainly fits into that category.  Being pulled in so many different directions and having so many responsibilities and commitments between work, family and personal life, we can become very accepting of tiredness and chronic fatigue.  Following this conversation with Sam, I am seeing the value in questioning how acceptable chronic fatigue should be because there may be a lot more to it than meets the eye.  Interesting to learn too that the often bloodwork does not reveal all when it comes to thyroid as some markers mirror each other on a chemistry level and hence why it is SO important to be working with someone who knows what they’re doing and what to look out for if you are experiencing some of the symptoms we cover.  Enjoy the show, as always, please connect with Sam on the following social platforms and leave us a review with your greatest takeaway.
