It took me 10 years to say this; I owe you Candice

Candice King should come to mind if you ever want to know how I got to be what shaped my journey into the health and fitness industry.  She and twin sister Jess were both at one stage a manager at a gym and pool facility in Brisbane where I really started to establish myself as a health and fitness professional.  Both Candice and Jess and played enormous roles in guiding me to where I am today.  In this episode, I get to speak with Candice, reflect on old times, what we have seen change in the industry over the past 10 years (that’s how long it has been since I started working in alongside Candice).

Despite now being in different parts of the world, we have some similar observations when it comes to helping people become the healthiest version of thesmselves and it is an amazing opportunity to reconnect with Candice and catch up - seems as though no time has passed since we last spoke.

Not one to give advice without someone asking, but (and there is a but), if I had to offer my 2 cents to anyone who is new to any industry, I would absolutely have to suggest finding someone who is an established expert in their field and cling onto them for dear life.  Put a GPS tracker on them, ask questions, pick their brain and never let them go.  What an incredible catch-up, conversation to reflect and insights on how we can continue to better the health and fitness industry.  It must be said, that in order to improve anything, we first, must begin with ourselves.
