I had a chat with Joanna Hecker who, along with her co-founder Ricardo Lopes, have been bringing music from around the globe into the living rooms of Lisbon via monthly 'secret' concerts where the location is only revealed a day or two before. Listen in as I chat about where the idea came from, how the project is run as well as musical highlights from the past 4 years. Tracks during segment by Surma and Maria Gadú.
I also had a chat with Bartholomew Ryan and Giulia Gallina of Lisbon-based international collective, The Loafing Heroes, whose members are from Portugal, Germany, Ireland, Italy and USA. After playing at Nos Alive Festival and self-funding their new album, the 'dream-folkers' are ready to release their new body of work (the title of which is exclusively revealed in the episode) and play live shows this year. The duo performed two live special versions of new tracks - 'Stairs' and 'Ragaire'.
Tracks in Episode:
1. Surma – Hemma
2. Maria Gadú – Ne Me Quitte Pas
3. The Loafing Heroes – Stairs (live)
4. The Loafing Heroes – Ragaire (live)
