Celebrating Body Diversity with Leigh Fisher

Live The Light of Yoga
Live The Light of Yoga

This week Leigh Fisher joins Christina and Britt for a conversation about the many facets of body size including thin privilege, fatphobia, and cultural biases. Leigh elaborates on the fallacies regarding weight as a measure of health and distinguishes body positivity from fat activism. They discuss how body image is a function of white supremacy and echoes cultural norms regarding shame, dysmorphia, and eating disorders. The three each share their personal experiences with being in a body and how these topics have impacted their lived experience.
