Janelle and Cindy Crossley share their experience of being married for over 40 years, an entire era before the internet and support groups were available to them, to understand Janelle’s struggles with her gender identity and how that would impact their relationship. As a trans advocate, Janelle serves as a liaison for Children and Youth Services, CASA, was the first openly trans woman to run for an elected state office in PA, is the inaugural winner of the Keira Kristine Award for advocacy and in this trailer, she shares the story of helping an Amish trans woman transition and be accepted by her community.
