Today's episode is the fourth installment, for March I’m doing a women empowerment and feminism focused episodes, and it’s gonna be called Women’s March, since the 8th is International Women’s Day, and I bring guests to talk all about their experience with feminism & women empowerment.
For this episode I chat with Aisha Addo, founder of Power To Girls Foundation, a non-profit organization to offer young girls the mentors and role models that were absent during her own youth, recipient of the Young Black and Gifted Award for Community Service named a Black Diversity Group Role Model and One of 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada and among the 150 Black Women making history in Toronto, and also creator of DriveHER, the ride-sharing service for women by women. We talk all about Intersectional Feminism, what it is, how has Aisha seen it in her life, her own thoughts on feminism, how to check your biases and hold youself accountable, and how change in you and your community is the most important work we can do. Hope you enjoy!
