Ray Connolly is a writer and journalist who was so deeply involved with the Beatles that he was almost a character in their story. Connolly has the distinction of being friendly with both Lennon and McCartney and went so far as to deliver messages between them when they couldn't talk to each other. Connolly also spent significant time with the Lennons from 1968 until 1980.
