Let's chat about what we need to lean into more in our lives that will give us more energy & what we should try to avoid that is likely sucking energy out of us more than we know.

I think we can all agree that we spend too much time worrying about what could go wrong in our lives & what problems we have, rather than what’s going well & what breakthroughs we are having. This kind of thinking can really zap our energy & not really push us to keep going or have the amount of hope we should be having that things will get better. We aren’t doing ourselves any favors by leaning into the negatives. Which is why today, I want to talk about what we should lean into that will actually give us energy & not add more weight to our lives.
It’s amazing how easily our energy can be drained by focusing on negative or hard things happening in our lives. And maybe this is something you have never really noticed because it’s become a habit. I totally get it. Plus, it takes way less effort to be negative than it does to be positive. There is actual effort involved in being positive, especially when you are going through something really tough in your life. You have to be purposeful in managing your mindset & not letting really big things & really small things through you out of whack completely.
And yes, I am going to suggest some things to lean into that will bring you more energy, but first I want to discuss some specific things that suck your energy away. Here are 5 good ones to consider whether you’re struggling with or not:
Overthinking
Being Disorganized
Not Getting Enough Sleep
Holding Onto Anger & Resentment
Toxic People
Now, let’s discuss 5 things that you should lean into that will give you energy:
Clear Boundaries
Learning Something New
Do Something For Yourself (Self Care or Hobby)
Supportive People
Consistency & Goal Planning
I hope discussing what we should & should not be leaning into was helpful & will push you to really consider what you are allowing in your life & whether or not it’s helping you become your best self or leading you in the opposite direction.
