Start Acting Like the Person You Want to Become - Be Who You Want to Be Today

Let's stop wasting time only dreaming about who we want to become & start acting like the person NOW while we work into it.

I believe we spend too much time thinking about who we want to be and not actually working on becoming that person. We need to start acting like the person we want to become, not just dream about it.

I live in a ton of fear. The problem with living your life in fear is that it becomes more & more difficult to get out of that mindset & lifestyle as more fear piles on & piles in. You fear making a positive change in your life because you don’t know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it’s going to work out. And there is no way to know what you want to happen will actually turn out, so you continue to live in fear because you lack absolute certainty.

You have to convince yourself that the possibility of taking a chance on something you really want & desire to do & be is worth the risk, whether it works out or not. And yes, this can & probably will induce more fear, but you have to strengthen your mindset to be tougher than it has been. You have to push yourself to take a few chances to experience disappointment & fulfillment. Some things will work out & others won’t. It’s just how the world works.

But maybe you don’t struggle with living in fear. I do understand that just because you don’t live in fear doesn’t mean you won’t struggle with putting action into the person you want to become. Fear can still linger there, but maybe your real issue is doubt.

It could be your own doubt you placed in your mind, from seeing others fail or succeed. But it could also be doubt that someone else has placed in your mind, whether out of love & protection or purposeful pain. Either way, it’s not good and will need to be conquered to fully act like the person you want to be now.

My biggest reason for not acting like the person I want to be now is because I am afraid people will judge me for it. It’s not a great reason, but I do struggle with being a people pleaser. I care way too much about what other people think about me & it gets in the way of me trying new things & really putting myself out there to fail, succeed, make mistakes & experience life even more. Or to even figure if the thing I want to become is really for me.

How will I know if I never try??

So today, I am going to give you a few tips on how you can start acting like the person you want to be, whether you struggle with fear, lack of experience, seeds of doubt or something else. And none of these things are quick fixes.

Here are 4 tips to help you start becoming the person you want to be:

1. Accept that people will judge you & that’s on them, not you.

2. Start adding in something new each week to slowly acclimate yourself to what it would be like to do those things as this person.

3. Keep notes/journal of how you feel trying these new things & whether or not you need to change course/direction or make any tweaks.

4. Remember you are never too old or young or whatever to attempt to do whatever it is you are wanting to do.
