This week Chole tells the story of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Guatemalan social justice warrior, Rigoberta Menchu. Rigoberta’s story is one of endurance, passion, grief and hope. Her traumatic childhood during the Guatemalan civil war put her on a path to fighting for the rights of her Indigenous People which lead her to the heights of global political discourse. Her mission to maintain and preserve her culture and the culture of First Nation’s People all over the world, to this day, is nothing short of inspiring.
