Today we will continue our Sustainable Leaders series and have a Talk Story with Bobby Farias, co-founder and president of Kunoa Cattle Company. We will be discussing what it means to provide sustainable beef to Hawaii and share what Kunoa Cattle Company has been up to over the past few years. Such as Hawaii's local food security, large scale ranching, keeping our local beef local, sustainable practices, regenerative grazing and more!
Bobby Fiaras: As a third-generation rancher, champion team roper and descendant of sugarcane plantation workers on Kauai, Bobby has seen firsthand the evolution of agriculture in Hawaii. For years Bobby has operated the largest calf brokerage on Kauai, negotiating the sale and shipping of calves off island. Bobby co-founded Kunoa to help reverse this model and keep beef, income, and jobs in Hawaii. He previously worked in property management on Kauai and with Lanai Western Adventures. As president, he oversees all aspects of the company's operations and strategic vision.
