In this episode, Heidi Hadley interviews Simon Rinne on the importance of raising to Men's Mental Health. Simon Rinne started Mindful Men in 2021 to share his story, and help normalise discussions about mental health. Simon's aim is to encourage boys and men to open up, get vulnerable and deal with the issues that are troubling them.
Simon's therapeutic approach is informed by his lived experience of mental illness, but also his life as a husband, father and everyday bloke. Simon is a qualified Social Worker and has 15 years experience in the Australian Public Service (APS); including working for the Department of Home Affairs, Australian Border Force, and more recently, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) as a Senior Planner.
