On this episode of Step Up Your Home Georgia speaks with Ben Robertson, the founder of Melbourne architecture firm Tecture. Ben studied at Deakin university before going on to gain experience at some of Melbourne’s most highly regarded architecture firms over the span of a decade. Unfortunately for Ben, he found these workplaces damaging his health and it was then that he decided that he wanted to be a kind, thoughtful architect, human and boss. Tecture was built on creating refined, simplistic and minimal spaces. Each project is tackled with a functionally considered and environmentally thoughtful material approach, that blends luxury with cost efficiency. Ben challenges his team to explore the psychology of the built form, keeping a keen eye on proportion and geometry.
