In 1842 Edward Rulloff, a mysterious young academic, charms his way into the Schutt family in Dryden, a small village in Upstate New York. He’s hardworking and loyal—he impresses the prominent family. Edward is a good husband, at first. But the Schutts quickly learn that he’s also arrogant, jealous…and vengeful.
