The Aging Project
The Aging Project

In this episode of The Aging Project podcast, we chat with Amy Crawford from The Holistic Ingredient about the importance of nurturing and strengthening our mental health as we age. Amy is a qualified health coach and CTC Master Therapist, who helps women free themselves from fear, self-doubt, and inner blocks, and uses multi-modalities to help her clients process challenging emotions in a healthy, productive way. She’s the founder of The Holistic Ingredient, which has become a wellness hub for women all over the world, and has developed a whole foods recipe series called ‘A Nourishing Kitchen.’ None of this would’ve been possible, though, without a very challenging life event of her own. Learning how to get through it healthily, both physically and mentally, totally changed her life path, and she shares this journey candidly in this fascinating discussion.

Join Shelley for episode #7 of Season Two of The Aging Project Podcast, as she chats to Amy about:

● How the way we’re raised can shape the way we process challenging emotions in our forties and beyond

● How debilitating chronic fatigue hit the reset button on her life, and changed its course for the better

● How challenges can get us to a better place when we process them in a healthy way

● A simple way to start being more aware of our mental health

● How reliance on vices inhibits us from building mental strength

● Some simple strategies for processing challenging emotions

● Who to reach out to when we’re overwhelmed, and how prioritising your connection with a therapist is crucial to your progress

● What EFT therapy is and how it works

● Boundaries – how to identify yours, and how you can express them
