The Body Never Lies
The Body Never Lies

Josh Rubin is a Certified Nutritionist, former CHEK Institute Faculty, Neuro Muscular Therapist and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Manual Therapy Student

Through over 15 years of research and experience with their clients, he and his wife Jeanne have developed a revolutionising nutrition method that teaches each person how to use food in a strategic manner to do for the body what it is not able to do for itself - self regulate.

In this episode, we are chatting about what I feel is one of the most important, yet so often misunderstood, physiological processes in the body - Metabolism and how nutrition has changed from just eating well, to managing autoimmune conditions, pylori, adrenal fatigues etc and why

  • Why symptom specific diets don’t work
  • What is metabolism - cellular respiration and mitochondrial function
  • The only way you are going to heal is to feel
  • the three pieces of the nervous system and what shapes them
  • what are metabolic foods
  • the simple things you need to do to make sure there is enough in the tank to meet the demands of your day
  • the importance off working from a fuelled state as opposed to creating oxidative stress
  • unwinding the nervous system using food
  • Fasting
  • how food affects your sleep
  • how you can easily monitor yourself to know what you need
  • the morning routine sets the stage for the day
  • the mistakes Josh is constantly seeing from looking at 1000s of food diaries
  • the physiology of hunger and appetite
  • what getting tired in the afternoon really means
  • what is really going on for people who don’t eat much but still put on weight
  • The healthier the I, the healthier the We, the healthier the ALL
  • Giving up dependency
  • Going baby and self parenting
  • the problem with biohacking and all the modern gadgets
  • Is there really such a thing as “bad” food
