Challenging the status quo & leveraging Product-as-a-Service w/ Anders Wijkman

The Business Developer
The Business Developer

Business Developers need to take up the responsibility of developing businesses that do not marginalize our future generations.

The business model of Product-as-a-Service may be leveraged to challenge the existing producers and provide benefits not only for their shareholders, but for the extended stakeholder base.

This episode aims to inspire the community of business developers by challenging them - challenging them to question the established status quo; challenging them to think about their extended stakeholder base, not just the shareholders; challenging them to unlearn past behaviour and practices - and in the process uncover opportunities and develop their businesses, leveraging differentiated business models like Product-as-a-Service

I host Anders Wijkman in this episode, to strive to challenge the community of business developers with different perspectives. Anders brings in diverse and in-depth knowledge and experiences. Anders was elected to the Swedish Parliament in 1970, at the age of only 26 years. In 1978, Anders became the Secretary General of the Swedish Red Cross. During the period pf 1995-97, Anders served as Policy Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Assistant Secretary General of the UN. In 1999, Anders was elected a member of the European Parliament. His work played a role in adoption of a climate act in the Swedish Parliament in June 2017. Throughout his life, Anders has also written multiple books, along with his co-authors, pertaining to sustainability issues.
