Together, they discuss the topic of small and one man bootmakers. These are people who take their passion for their craft to the next level, favouring quality and independence over profits.

In this episode of The Denim & Boots Podcast, Thomas is joined by Wouter Munnichs from Long John to talk about vintage denim. Wouter has been collecting vintage denim for +15 years, but his passion for denim goes all the way back to the early 90s when I got a job in the first Diesel store in Holland. He was 17 then. After his time at Diesel, he started a kids brand called Lvis; helped build a successful streetwear brand; and eventually started consulting for the denim industry. This interview was recorded at the Bluezone trade show in Munich in February 2020.

In this special 'bonus' episode, editor-in-chief of Men's File, Nick Clements, takes us on a tour around some of his favourite spots in Tokyo. Nick recorded his montage, which he calls 'the Tokyo Crow,' during the CC Show in October 2019, which coincided with the Typhoon named Hagibis. You'll hear Nick explain what he sees and the people he talks to (in Japanese!) as he walks around the streets of Tokyo.

On the first episode of season 3 of the podcast, Thomas interview Alex and Giles Padmore from Iron Heart International. They talk about how the brand got started. How motorcycling has been a key source of inspiration for the brands and how the garments are designed since day one. He's witnessed and documented Japan's role in this scene ever since it slowly started influencing the West in the late 80s. And he's been going to Japan since the early 90s.
