In 2003 she decided to shift her focus to young girls and their development. During her field placement while studying at Adelphi, she was assigned the role of Eldercare Social Worker at the height of the pandemic. It was during this time that Elisa says she realized that she stepped into her true calling in “Social Work”.

Ms. Elisa Brown was highlighted in Adelphi University President,  Christine Riordan’s May 2020 Newsletter. President Riordan single out Elisa and several other students who were thrust into the role of essential workers at the onset of the Corona Virus Pandemic.
