Non-Profit Podcast Series: Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement in the greater Sacramento area is an institution that has been helping youth get a grasp on financial literacy for over 60 years. As with many of the local non-profit agencies and business, the opportunity to continue with their traditional fundraising events has been diminished. Learn a little more about the steps JA is taking to both maintain and grow and some of the unique programs they offer to students in the community about the awareness of money. Operating nearly totally virtually, the JA programs will be offered at no charge for the near future to give students at home the ability to participate and engage while the shelter in place rules continue. Susan Nelson, President of the organization and James Smith, a student at Cristo Rey High School and both JA student and part-time employee, explain why Junior Achievement is a worthy cause and a benefit to the community.
