Season 3: Episode 13: Freeing Yourself From Trauma and Living Abundantly (Dr. Leonie H. Mattison)
I believe that healing is simply becoming who you were meant to be before trauma entered into your life. The problem is that though many want to heal they often don't even know how to begin to start the process. Defining moments include those when we decide to make a change, we seek the proper guidance, and when we find it, we take the proper action to change. These are the moments that get us from trauma, to trapped, to healed, to abundance... this is our goal and I pray that it starts for you today!
My guest today, is Dr. Leonie H. Mattison…she is an organizational and talent development practitioner. She’s also the author of the books The Thread: Imperfect Steps to a God-ordained Purpose and Beside Still Waters 21-day Devotional. Leonie also created The T.H.R.E.A.D Six-Step System to help survivors free themselves from past trauma and live an abundant life. She earned a Doctorate in organizational leadership from Argosy University, a Master’s in business administration from Georgian Court University and a Christian Life Coaching Certificate from Light University. She is the recipient of the 2018 18th Annual Pacific Coast Business Times “40 Under 40 Award” recognizing the forty best and brightest transformational leaders on the Central Coast under the age of forty. And to top it all off, Leonie has accomplished all of this while raising her 3 daughters.
But, before she went on to accomplish all these accolades, Leonie suffered trauma that left her feeling battered and broken. But, thank God she didn't stay that way! She now believes that her purpose is to create work that connects women as one T.H.R.E.A.D to each other and to God so that they can navigate their healing journey abundantly.
