163: The path from the good girl to the unapologetic woman

Today I talk about my journey of healing from codependency and people-pleasing through leaving the 9-5 system and starting to work for myself.

I never, NEVER desired to be an entrepreneur or to work for myself, but in my late 30s, after 4 corporate jobs, I realized... this ain't ever gonna change.

At the same time I was beginning my codependency and people-pleasing recovery journey, and realized that my codependency and low self-worth had THRIVED in the hierarchal, permission-based, patriarchal, rule-following world of the 9-5 and I truly had to begin to reckon with the depths of my people-pleasing if I wanted to ever be able to work for myself.

In today's episode, I talk about how I began to do that, and how you can too.

Ready to exit the 9-5 system that's not working for you and build a way of working for yourself that's values- based, authentic, and will help your mental health? The waitlist for Secretly Ambitious, the 12-week business course for highly sensitive people who want to start their own business but don't know how, is now open! By signing up for the waitlist you'll get $100 off the course when it opens in July.
