In this episode Kate and Mandy are speaking to Paralympic gold medalist and two-time Commonwealth game gold medalist Kurt Fearnley.
After a bit of fan-gushing, you will find out that Kurt is much more than a sporting legend. They talk about Kurt’s new podcast A Nation Changed, which tells the story of one of the greatest social reforms in Australia’s history: the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Starting with former prime minister Julia Gillard getting this funding scheme through parliament in 2013, this is a very important story that needs to be told so please go and listen!
Kurt also hosts a podcast called Tiny Island.
The big painting that Kurt had hanging behind him was made by author, comedian and painter Ahn Do; you can see the paining on Kurt’s twitter here
