Mishala has been teaching Universal Pre-K in New York for the past 5 years. In that time she has created lasting relationships with families. Since she is a mother of three vibrant boys, some of those professional relationships has blossomed into relationships similar to that of family. She is one semester away from graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in Children and Youth Studies.
Mishala also possesses an Associate Degree in Education studies from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn New York .
She is a first generation college student fulfilling her desire to become a teacher like her late mother. Since she was a little girl growing up in Mahaicony Village on the East Coast of Demerara, Guyana, South America she always dreamt of becoming a teacher. Today she is on tract pursuing that dream.
