This week Sarah and Tara discuss crime cases that were driven by untreated mental illnesses. Our first case is about David Berkowitz, who terrorized New York City, the summers of 1976 and 1977. He would go on to blame his murders on demonic possession from his neighbor's dog.
Next, we discussed the case of Tsutomu Miyazaki, also known as the Little Girl Murderer of Japan. Starting with his childhood trauma and neglect from his dysfunctional family to how he became a sadistic child rapist and murderer.
While we are on the topic of mental health, please remember that seeking help is the first step in recovery. Mental health services have not always accessible and are usually very expensive. So we would like to thank @cukup.club for pulling together amazing, affordable resources available in Malaysia.
